Lens Proof for Motor Claims
Pre-inspection and claim photos you can check.
Motor losses were more than half of all Philippine non-life losses in 2024, and a photo can be edited in minutes. Lens Proof signs each photo on the iPhone the moment it's taken, before cover starts and after a loss.

Nearly ₱14 billion in motor losses
In 2024, Philippine non-life insurers incurred nearly ₱14 billion in motor losses. In 2016, a PIRA member said motor fraud costs the industry at least a billion pesos a year.
Watch on YouTube₱2.4 billion more in motor losses, and the pre-inspection photo
Motor losses rose from ₱11.6 billion in 2023 to ₱14.0 billion in 2024, more than 20% in one year. A pre-inspection photo taken months ago, or with a dent edited out, can look just like an honest one.
Watch on YouTubeHow Lens Proof helps
- Before cover starts, your agent or inspector takes the pre-inspection photos in Lens Proof, and the app signs each one at capture.
- When a claim comes in, your claims team can check when each pre-inspection photo was taken and whether it changed, e.g., an old photo sent as new or a dent edited out.
- Claim photos taken in Lens Proof show when and on which device they were taken, and whether they changed after signing.
What a signed photo does not show
A signed photo doesn't show who caused an accident or what a repair should cost. Your adjusters and your existing fraud checks still make those calls.

Lens Proof for motor pre-inspection and claims
Research how signed pre-inspection and claim photos could help a Philippine motor claims team.
Help a motor claims head at a Philippine non-life insurer understand whether Lens Proof could help with pre-inspection photos and motor claim photos. Review Lens Proof at [https://lensproof.app](https://lensproof.app) and Lens Proof Check at [https://check.lensproof.app](https://check.lensproof.app). Check the product's current public capabilities before relying on them.
Use one scenario. Before a comprehensive motor policy starts, an agent takes pre-inspection photos of the car. Three months later, the insured files an own damage claim for a dented rear bumper. The claims team suspects the dent was already there before cover started, and the insured says it was not.
Explain in this order:
1. The motor loss problem. Verify the figures cited in the Lens Proof videos against their sources. Check motor losses incurred by Philippine non-life insurers (₱11.6 billion in 2023 and ₱14.0 billion in 2024, more than half of all non-life losses), from Insurance Commission data compiled by PIRA: https://www.pirainc.com/statistics. Check the 2016 statement by a PIRA member that motor fraud costs the industry at least a billion pesos a year: https://www.insurancebusinessmag.com/asia/news/breaking-news/us21-2m-lost-to-auto-insurance-fraud-in-the-philippines-each-year-49599.aspx. Say which figures you could confirm.
2. Content Credentials and C2PA in plain language, using https://c2pa.org/about/ and https://contentauthenticity.org/how-it-works. Explain what a signed photo record can show, such as when and on which device the photo was taken, and whether the file changed after it was signed.
3. How the pre-inspection step could use Lens Proof. Cover who takes the photos, which angles and details to capture, how the original files are stored, and how the claims team can later check when each photo was taken and whether it changed. Address the two risks named in the video, which are a photo taken months earlier and a photo with a dent edited out.
4. How the claim step could use Lens Proof, and how it fits with the industry's existing claims and fraud checks. Use PIRA's Motor Car Claims Information System notice as background: https://www.pirainc.com/post/pira-urges-members-to-support-new-motor-car-claims-system
5. What a signed photo cannot show. It cannot prove who caused the accident, what a repair should cost, whether a repair shop invoice is honest, or that the car in the photo is the insured car unless the plate and VIN are captured and matched. Keep the file check, signer trust, and the truth of the claim as separate questions.

Return:
1. A one-page summary for a motor claims head.
2. A pre-inspection photo checklist that an agent can follow on site.
3. A table with three columns: the claim question, what Lens Proof can help show, and what still needs other proof.
4. Questions to ask the Lens Proof team before a pilot.
