Overview

The overlay displays real-time information on your captures. Every element is configurable through Settings (Lens icon).

Typography

Changing Font Style

Open Settings → Overlay Details → Font Pairing
Select a style from the list. Styles are included with the app and work offline.

Font Pairing	Description
Classic (SF Mono)	Technical, monospaced (default)
ISOCTEUR	Engineering blueprint aesthetic
F5.6	Camera aperture-inspired display
JetBrains	Modern developer-centric monospaced
IBM Plex	Professional mono with rounded UI labels
Space Mono	Geometric mono with Swiss typography

When to Use Which

Field inspections: Classic (SF Mono) for precision data
Creative documentation: ISOCTEUR for a distinctive look
Professional reports: Classic or IBM Plex for readability

Map Configuration

Toggle Map Visibility

Settings → Map → toggle Show Map

Map Styles

Standard	Urban environments, street context
Satellite	Rural areas, construction sites
None	Minimal overlay, faster performance

Compass Configuration

Settings → Location → Compass Mode

Standard	Orientation and cardinal direction
Building	Facade documentation (North Elevation)

Overlay Positioning

Size (Portrait Mode)

Settings → Overlay → Magnification

Available sizes: 0.75x, 1.0x, 1.25x

Note: Landscape mode uses 1.0x fixed for consistent positioning.

Alignment

Settings → Overlay → Alignment

Options: Leading, Center, Trailing

Branding

Adding Your Logo

Settings → Branding → Add Logo
Select image from your photo library
Adjust position if needed

Supported formats: PNG, JPEG
Best practice: Use transparent PNG for professional look

Removing Logo

Settings → Branding → Remove Logo

Project Profiles

Project Profiles allow you to save and switch between different sets of project and client metadata quickly.

Managing Profiles

Settings → Project Profiles
Add Profile (+) to create a new preset
Tap a profile to set it as Active

Each profile stores:

Project Name
Client Name
File Name Prefix

Quick Switch

You can also switch profiles directly from the main camera screen by tapping the active project name in the top overlay (if enabled).

Quick Note Templates

Quick Note Templates allow you to pre-fill frequent site observations and status updates.

Using Templates

Tap the Note area on the camera screen.
Tap the Templates (document) icon.
Select a template to apply it immediately.

Alias Expansion (Power User Shortcut)

Each template can have a 2 to 4 letter Alias.

In the note input field, type the alias (e.g., dr).
Double-tap the spacebar.
The alias expands to the full text (e.g., 000 | PN 00 | DRILLING).

Managing Templates

Add: Tap + in the Templates sheet.
Edit: Swipe right on a template to edit the text or alias.
Reorder: Tap the reorder icon to change the sequence.
Delete: Swipe left on a template to remove it.

Character Limits

The overlay supports notes up to 100 characters. This limit ensures the data remains legible and doesn't obscure the center of your documentation.

Project Information

Project Name

Displays on every capture for organization. Pre-filled from the active Project Profile.

Settings → Project → Project Name
Enter your project identifier

Client Name

Settings → Project → Client Name

Resetting to Default

To quickly clear the Project Name and Client Name fields:

Settings → Project
Tap Reset to Default

Field Visibility

Control which data fields appear on the overlay:
